What a majestic and amazing building. During our Summer 2023 trip to Italy, Rome was obviously a city we planned to see and explore. We got advance entry tickets to the Colosseum and marveled at the scale of the structure. Despite some parts of it falling into disrepair, it was still impressive how the entire arena is still standing. I had to take out my wide angle lens to capture as much of the building as I could.

It took quite a few hours in the cold and the rain and the wind to reach this point in Lofoten, Norway. This is what it took to climb at Ryten, which gives such an incredible view of Kvalvika Beach below. It is quite the popular hike as well, we were one of perhaps 500 people on the trail at some point. Despite all the hardships, this view was more than worth it.

This is a close up shot of one of the towers of Kalmar Castle in Småland, Sweden. What I really love about this photo is how lucky I was to catch the details of the bricks as well as the Swedish Tre Kronor (Three Crowns) emblem at the top of the tower. This is one of the coolest castles in all of Sweden and is definitely worth visiting.

This is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria. There are many of these cathedrals with the same name across Europe as Alexander Nevsky was a prominent figure in Eastern Orthodox religion. What I love is just how different the architecture is compared to Catholic churches. The colors on this cathedral in particular are so exquisite. Luckily my timing couldn't have been better as the sun started peaking through the clouds for a great sunset.

Lake Bohinj is located in the confines of the Triglav National park in Slovenia. I drove here one morning and was a bit disappointed with all the fog. But in some instances, the fog really gave a mystical appearance to the town. After an hour or so, the fog began to lift and photos like this were finally possible. The town is very charming regardless of the fog situation.

We knew that our road trip to the Lofoten Islands in Norway would be filled with gorgeous vistas but we weren't prepared for just how picturesque it would be. This is the view over the small town of Svolvaer in the Lofoten Islands on the Northwestern coast of Norway. Although this photo was taken with a drone, similar photos can be taken just by hiking up Djavelporten outside of the city.

Our trip to Albania was in the extremely hot summer of 2023. We rented a car and drove throughout the country in as little as 8 days. One of our stops was the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Gjirokaster. We got there right at golden hour, just the perfect time for the light to bounce off each and every rooftop. I flew my drone to capture the scene and was more than satisfied with what came out.

The Lofoten islands is one of the most beautiful areas in Norway. It is full of gorgeous natural features and is a haven for outdoors lovers. One such outdoor activity here, despite the proximity to the Arctic Circle, is surfing. You can oftentimes see surfers like this at places like Unstad Beach, waiting to catch the next wave. I thought these two guys hanging out in the middle of the gorgeous blue water was photoworthy with the drone.

The town of Manarola will be your favorite in all of Cinque Terre I promise you. This cliffside town has amazing coastal views which is best seen from the restaurant Nessun Dorma. Though I normally take most of my photos with a drone, this village had an incredible viewpoint, easily accessible on foot. I decided to wait for Golden Hour before snapping this slow exposure pic of the entirety of Manarola.

I had heard so much about Bruges in Belgium while living in Europe but I never had the chance to go for many years. I flew into Brussels and took a bus to Bruges for the day. My only regret was not spending more time in Bruges. I was very mystified by the exquisite architecture of the city. To capture it, I put the drone up and managed to get a few nice shots of the multi-colored buildings with colorful facades. This is easily one of my most favorite photos from the city.

Positano is one of the larger towns located on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. This photo was taken with a drone in the Summer of 2023. It is the exemplification of Italian style and architecture. What I love the most about this shot is the perfect backdrop of the city on the rolling green hills and cliffside, juxtaposed with the pristine turquoise and blue water, with ripples of white from the boats going by.

During my third trip to Iceland, I decided to rent a camper van and travel the country on my own time. One of my favorite places was the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, which sits just north of the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik. You can see waterfalls and lighthouses and churches here. This particular church is called Ingjaldshólskirkja, with its vibrant red roof. I thought it was a gorgeous subject to photograph, amidst the cloudy and blue sky, and the earthy green and brown landscape.
