I think this is one of the coolest fortresses I have seen. The Vaxholm Fortress is located in Vaxholm, Sweden, just north of Stockholm. I came here on a day with questionable weather but luckily the rain held off until a few minutes before this moment. I love the contrast of colors and the autumn foliage that also appear on the fortress island, making it so unique to me.
