Atlantic City Is Becoming More Than A Casino Town
At the end of the day, it’s not necessarily that Atlantic City is trying to erase its past, and nor does it have to. It’s more that it’s adding to what it’s already got: more events on the Boardwalk, more activity in neighborhoods like the Orange Loop, and a full calendar that reaches well beyond traditional casino entertainment. The 2026 World Cup program is a good example, using the beach, Boardwalk, local businesses and existing venues to turn an international sporting event into something visitors can experience throughout the city.
Atlantic City’s transformation is less about becoming something completely different and more about making the city itself a bigger part of the reason to visit.
